District Health Board Research Fund

The District Health Board Research Fund (DHBRF) is a partnership between the Health Research Council of New Zealand (HRC) and the 21 District Health Boards. The objective of this initiative is to commission research that addresses key knowledge gaps for DHBs and supports and promotes the translation of research into clinical practice. Six Request for Proposals (RFPs) have been released. See the 'Current Projects' tab for information on the nature and status of the projects.

Governance Group
A governance group has been established to make strategic and policy decisions concerning the DHBRF. The Governance Group is involved in setting the research priorities for the fund, determining the content of the RFPs and making the final funding decisions. Acting chair of the Governance Group is currently Professor Harry Rea (Professor of Medicine, South Auckland Clinical School). The other members are Dr Gary Jackson, Professor Mason Durie, Dr Sharon Kletchko, Ms Shelley Campbell, Mr Matthew Brougham, Ms Patricia Logan and Dr Robin Olds.
